Genius Sports adds tennis to BetVision for Australian Open

Genius Sports has added support for tennis to its BetVision live betting platform just in time for the Australian Open. The enhanced product combines live streams, betting options and statistics to boost engagement for sportsbook partners.

Genius Sports has announced an expansion of its BetVision platform to include live tennis coverage, bringing the interactive betting tool to audiences during the 2026 Australian Open and across other International Tennis Federation (ITF) events.

The move comes as one of the first major live tennis applications for BetVision, which was originally launched in 2023 through a partnership with Infront Bettor. The platform has already been integrated across multiple global sports leagues, including the NFL, Serie A, Ligue 1, and the Brasileiro Série A, and is now set to offer tennis betting experiences in real time.

BetVision merges low-latency live streams with integrated betslips, official match statistics, and micro-markets — all within a single interactive player. The solution is designed to increase key performance metrics for sportsbook operators, such as average stake size, viewing time, and overall player retention.

“Approximately 90% of tennis bets are placed in-play,” said Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports, highlighting the importance of evolving live betting solutions. He added that introducing BetVision for tennis will elevate the in-play experience for sportsbook partners and their customers. The Australian Open, one of the sport’s premier events, serves as the debut for the expanded coverage.

Under the extended arrangement with Infront Bettor, BetVision will also cover ITF competitions outside the Grand Slam setting, offering a broader suite of tennis content for betting operators to leverage.

The partnership supports the company’s wider strategy of combining official sports data and video integration to deepen engagement across markets. BetVision’s interactive features seek to keep bettors immersed in action without having to switch between viewing and wagering interfaces, a factor that operators say can translate into higher engagement and revenue growth.

As tennis continues to attract significant in-play betting activity, the addition of the sport to BetVision’s portfolio marks a strategic step by Genius Sports in expanding its footprint in live sports wagering technology.
