DAZN partners with Polymarket to launch prediction markets

Sports streaming giant DAZN has teamed up with prediction market operator Polymarket to embed real-time prediction data into its broadcasts and platform. The move aims to deepen fan engagement by showing evolving probabilities and, eventually, offering interactive trading within DAZN’s ecosystem.

DAZN, the global sports streaming and entertainment platform, has announced a strategic partnership with prediction market operator Polymarket that will bring real-time prediction market data and features to its service.

Under the agreement, DAZN will integrate Polymarket’s prediction market information directly into its live broadcasts and digital platform, initially providing viewers with up-to-the-moment probabilities and market insights as sporting events unfold. The addition marks a significant step in DAZN’s broader strategy to innovate how fans experience sports content, blending traditional viewing with interactive, data-driven engagement.

Prediction markets allow users to buy and sell contracts tied to the outcome of future events, with prices reflecting collective expectations of probabilities. By incorporating this data, DAZN aims to give fans a new way to gauge how outcomes might shift during a match, fight or other competitions, adding context beyond conventional statistics and commentary.

To eventually offer fully interactive prediction trading on its platform, DAZN plans to apply for the relevant regulatory approvals in the United States, including permissions from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Once licensed, users in approved regions could trade prediction contracts directly on DAZN without needing to leave the platform.

Enhancing fan engagement

In the interim, Polymarket’s live probabilities and data will be embedded within the viewing experience, giving audiences a real-time look at how markets evolve alongside the action on screen. This approach reflects a wider trend in sports media toward immersive, analytics-driven features that keep audiences engaged beyond passive watching.

Shayne Coplan, CEO of Polymarket, highlighted the partnership as a way to transform fan speculation into measurable and actionable insights, while DAZN executives say integrating prediction markets aligns with their mission of making sports viewing more dynamic and participatory.

The deal positions DAZN at the forefront of blending prediction market infrastructure with mainstream sports streaming, with potential expansion into additional markets depending on regulatory environments and licensing timelines.
