Atrium Sports sale gives Sportradar $170 million in cash

Sportradar has agreed to sell its Atrium Sports business to Teamworks Innovations for $170 million in cash. The company announced the deal on Wednesday, October 7. The Atrium Sports sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
The divestment is aimed at sharpening Sportradar’s focus on betting, gaming and media. Atrium Sports provides video capture, coaching and scouting tools and is the coaching and scouting business of Synergy Sports. Sportradar acquired the business in March 2021.
Sportradar will keep several technologies tied to Atrium Sports after the transaction.
The company plans to retain automated video-production cameras and graphics systems, along with selected computer-vision and competition-management capabilities already integrated into its operations.
CEO Carsten Koerl presented the transaction as a way to simplify the group’s operations: “This transaction optimizes and streamlines our business as we focus on our core betting, gaming, and media priorities, while enabling us to retain key technology assets and capabilities that will support growth and innovation.”
Koerl said the proceeds will strengthen Sportradar’s balance sheet and support its capital allocation priorities. The company also plans to work with Teamworks on the transition for clients, partners and employees. iGaming Business reported that the disposal is expected to be accretive, while Sportradar shares moved modestly higher in early trading.
The company is also putting resources behind prediction markets and its iGaming content business Playradar. Sportradar has signed multi-year agreements with Polymarket and Kalshi in recent months.
