Genius Sports launches Prediction.com via Legend

Genius Sports has entered the prediction markets space directly, launching a dedicated affiliate site on Thursday designed to aggregate pricing and market data across multiple prediction market platforms. The new site, Prediction.com, overlays that pricing information with live sports feeds, giving users a single destination to track how event probabilities shift in real time.
The platform was built by Legend, the consumer media and technology unit Genius Sports acquired last year for $1.2 billion. Prediction.com lets users compare equivalent event contracts across several exchanges side by side, rather than checking each platform separately.
Combining official data with live market pricing
A central feature of the launch is the integration of Genius Sports’ official in-game data with real-time market pricing. That combination allows users to follow play-by-play action from a live sporting event alongside the dynamic prices and probabilities being generated in prediction markets tied to that same event.
Prediction.com also includes a proprietary cross-venue engine, which lets users compare multi-leg contract combinations across different platforms rather than restricting analysis to single-leg bets on one exchange.
In a statement announcing the launch, Genius Sports framed Prediction.com as a response to fragmentation in the sector, where users have historically needed to visit multiple platforms separately just to compare pricing. Sean Conroy, EVP of rights and partnerships at Genius Sports, said robust integrity safeguards are now essential to the category’s growth. “As the category continues to grow, robust integrity safeguards are not simply optional; they are foundational,” he said, adding that combining official data, live streaming, league IP, integrity services and Legend’s media reach would help “deliver a differentiated and trusted experience for sports fans across the US.“
The company said the move extends its role beyond that of a pure data supplier to prediction markets, positioning Genius Sports as an active participant in the consumer-facing side of the business.
Building on recent Kalshi and Polymarket deals
The Prediction.com launch follows deals Genius Sports signed with both Polymarket and Kalshi in August, under which it agreed to supply real-time event data, league integrity services and streaming support. Rival data provider Sportradar struck similar multi-year partnerships with both Kalshi and Polymarket back in June, underscoring how competitive the space has become between the two major sports-data suppliers.
The timing of the launch, coming during the strategic integration phase following the Legend acquisition, also coincides with the start of the US NFL season — widely regarded as the peak commercial window for sports-data monetisation. Genius Sports separately maintains partnerships with DraftKings and FanDuel, both of which recently extended their status as NFL partners ahead of the new season.
Analyst and executive commentary
Citizens gaming analyst Jordan Bender pointed to the NFL season kickoff as a tailwind for the business. He said Genius “should benefit from increased spending across both traditional sports betting and the emerging prediction market industry,” adding that the Kalshi and Polymarket agreements “have provided an incremental positive catalyst” for Legend founder Mr Kisberg and his team. In a note published this week, Bender said investors would be watching for signs Genius can use Legend’s relationships to capture a larger share of the expanding sports betting and prediction markets opportunity.
Genius Sports founder and CEO Mark Locke used a personal LinkedIn post this week to lay out his view of the company’s positioning across both traditional and prediction-market betting. “Through Legend and our wider media platform we help operators acquire the customers all of them are competing for,” he wrote. Locke argued that prediction markets represent a net positive for Genius Sports rather than a competitive threat. “That is why I see prediction markets as a net benefit for Genius. I believe they create more businesses to supply, more ways to monetise the same sports activity and more competition for the customers we help operators win,” he said.
