Wildz reports Finnish license ahead of launch

The new system will allow licensed operators to offer betting, online slots, online casino games and online money bingo. Applications opened on March 1, 2026, enabling businesses to seek approval before the competitive market begins operating. The reform opens specified gambling products to competition rather than removing every exclusive license.
Wildz CEO Sam Brown welcomed the reported approval and credited the team responsible for the application. The group’s portfolio includes Wildz, Caxino, Wheelz, Spinz, Chipz, Tuplaus and Blingi, alongside Wildz Sports. Its announcement did not specify which individual brands would operate under the Finnish license.
“Receiving the amazing news of being the first operator to receive a licence in Finland is a welcome reward for all the efforts of the team in the application process,” said Brown. “We’re excited about this milestone and what it represents for the future of Wildz Group. “We believe that our brands will offer players in Finland a safe and engaging entertainment product for many years to come. We’re looking forward to July 2027!”
Licensing and supervision will remain with the National Police Board through June 2027 before transferring to the Finnish Supervisory Agency in July. A further stage follows on July 1, 2028, when supplying gambling software will require a separate software license; applications for those permits will open in July 2027.
