Gavin Isaacs joins GLI board in advisory role

Gaming Laboratories International has appointed Gavin Isaacs, the former chief executive of Entain, to its board in an advisory role. He joins alongside GLI president and chief executive James Maida, the company confirmed on Monday. The appointment is pending regulatory review and approval.
GLI has not disclosed an effective start date, remuneration or any equity arrangements tied to the appointment.
The move follows GLI’s first outside investment from private equity firm CVC Capital Partners.
Isaacs brings more than 25 years of experience across gaming, iGaming, sports betting and lotteries. He has held senior executive and board positions throughout his career and has been involved in mergers and acquisitions valued at over $10 billion, including a seat on the board of directors at Galaxy Gaming. He was inducted into the American Gaming Association Hall of Fame in 2022. Isaacs stepped down as chief executive of Entain last year after five months in the role.
“I am excited to join the board of GLI as it embarks on its next stage of growth. I look forward to working with James Maida and CVC as we build upon the incredible business built by James and his team over the past 37 years,՞ Isaacs said on his appointment.
CVC’s Strategic Opportunities division invested in GLI and associated entities in June, backing the company’s global expansion and long-term strategy. Maida said Isaacs’ experience made him a strong fit for that growth push.
“Gavin’s decades of experience, vision and history of innovation make him a perfect partner as we move forward,” Maida said.
