Playson appoints Denys Koshel as commercial partnerships VP

Playson has appointed Denys Koshel as its first Vice President of Commercial Partnerships, creating a new leadership role that brings its account management and emerging markets functions under one commercial structure.

Koshel will report to Chief Commercial Officer Ben Wood and will oversee the consolidated function supporting Playson’s operator network. The company said the new structure is intended to improve coordination, communication, and decision-making while making greater use of market data in commercial recommendations and campaign planning.

Playson creates new commercial leadership role as it consolidates operator support and emerging markets functions.

Koshel has been with Playson for nearly 11 years and most recently served as Head of Emerging Markets. His previous positions include Commercial Analytics Lead, while his experience also covers account strategy, market development, integration initiatives, and operational execution.

Wood said the appointment represents a further change in Playson’s commercial organization, with the company seeking to bring its commercial capabilities closer together. “Denys’ appointment as our first VP of Commercial Partnerships marks an important step in the continued evolution of Playson’s Commercial organization,” Wood said. He added that Koshel’s experience across the company’s partners, products, markets, and internal operations positioned him to lead the new function.

Koshel said his focus would be on developing a commercial service model for operators working in increasingly complex markets. He also identified market knowledge, data, AI-driven insights, promotional planning, and automation as areas that will form part of his approach to the new role.

The appointment follows several recent developments for Playson. On August 3, the supplier announced the launch of its first titles in Alberta, expanding its presence in Canada. On August 6, it also added 4 Supershiny Diamonds: Hold and Win to its games portfolio.

The slot features a Hold and Win Bonus Game and a Super Bonus Game played on a 5×5 field. Its mechanics include Multi, Charge and Collect features, alongside a Super Diamond feature. The game includes a Grand Jackpot of 3,000x and a Super Jackpot of 10,000x.

Playson said Koshel’s new remit will combine his experience in analytics, market development, and integrations with its operator-facing commercial activities. The company also plans to incorporate AI-driven insights and automation into the internal processes overseen by the new commercial function.
